you can be the hardest worker in the league, in the class, on the field or in the gym and sometimes we never give ourselves enough credit.

that’s the cruel part of working hard. you can give it your best shot and sometimes, the cards just don’t fall in your favor.

but you know what does fall in your favor? your trust in yourself. Your ability to look at yourself in the mirror and say, you know what, i did everything in my power for this and i fell short. but that just means i have learned more for next time and i know that i am able to push myself to limits that were unheard of before.

hard work pays off when you give yourself grace to celebrate what you’ve accomplished.
